LONDON - asteroid-sized hunk of an aircraft carrier, will pass between Earth and Moon on Tuesday, November 8, forthcoming.
Asteroid known as 2005 YU55 been orbiting around the Sun. But this is the closest position that the Earth moved at the last 200 years and will come closer to Earth since the last 35 years.
This Asteriod dengani previously crossed the short distance in 1976, but largely unnoticed presence of all people, including NASA.
Now astronomers will have another chance of a 'meeting' that more closely about the presence of the asteroid on Tuesday, November 8, which is estimated to be present at 11:30 local time. So that was launched by the Telegraph, Monday (31/10/2011).
This will not be visible to the naked eye but amateur astronomers have a good chance to catch a glimpse of a passing asteroid, provided they have a telescope with a diameter of at least 6 inches.
"We hope to get the images to reveal many details about the asteroid's surface features, shape, dimensions and other physical properties," said party spokesperson for NASA.
2005 YU55 is one of the 874 asteroids close to Earth, and if you want to hit the earth would be strong enough to destroy a city.
