CALIFORNIA - The patent has become an important thing for Apple, until the law-was willing to be taken to maintain it. One of the patents that Apple has just passed is the shear mode or slide to unlock on the phone screen.
Apple is holding many patents related to body motion, shear mode or slide to unlock screen symbolically and as a practical one.
Institute for the United States patent (U.S.) ie United States Patent & Trademark Office, said other companies will now be restricted to using the operating system in a more sensitive touch screen.
"This device can be open if the contact with the screen in accordance with the standards movement in opening the device (slide). The device will display one or more images to open the lock, in connection with the motion of the standard that must be done prior to opening the device," the statement the U.S. patent agency , as quoted by Cnet, Wednesday (10/26/2011).
When Steve Jobs first introduced the iPhone in 2007, he said users can unlock the screen simply by sliding.
"We wanted something a user can not do to unlock the phone when kept in his pocket. And it is shifting," said Jobs.
Given the current legal battle to fight for a patent on the design between Apple and Samsung continue to roll, then by winning a patent the use of slides to unlock the keypad at least be able to strengthen Apple's position for a while....
