NEW DELHI - Microsoft has just launched the latest version of the operating system for smartphones, the Windows Phone (WP) 7.5 with the code name 'Mango'. The first Asian country introduced Mango is India.Nearly a year after Windows Phone is launched globally by Microsoft. Consumers can finally use the Mango version, as the operating system embedded in the HTC, Samsung and Acer.WP 7.5 will reportedly go into retail stores throughout Diwali, India in the near future.
Radar HTC phones which is one of WP is expected to be sold at a price of approximately USD491, while Acer Allegro may be sold approximately USD327. With competitive prices, of course, can provide competition for smartphones based on Android, which has been successful before.
"Microsoft's vision is to play a role in a large spectrum of devices, mobile phones are the main device on the market such as India," said Bhaskar Pramanik, head of Microsoft India, told the Economic Times, Thursday (13/10/2011).
Microsoft has set the minimum hardware requirements for mobile phones that will run WP 7.5 and the factor to make the adjustment directed by three buttons. In contrast to Google which allow vendors to customize Android.
